Our physical health is most important just like our mental health. Now-a-days, in this busy digital world, it is very important to spare some time for ourselves. Then why not use that time in a productive way? Everyday (or most of the days?) I practice yoga (I know, I don’t look the one who practices yoga 😂). But, it’s my favorite thing to do (who doesn’t call it a favorite when it’s making your body flexible and keeping your mind calm!). Before yoga, I used to do swimming a lot. I felt the same serenity that I am feeling now, in swimming (especially underwater). But because of some health issues, I had to stop that. But we are humans and never stop searching for alternatives right! As I mentioned earlier, my father made me do gymnastics, my mother competed with my father and taught me yoga when I was a kid 😅.
Today, I tried new yoga asana (pose) called Naukasana (boat pose). It’s very useful for strengthening abdominal muscles and back. This pose also teaches us the sense of solidity. Yoga boosts both physical and mental fitness. Also we must agree that workouts build confidence in us, right? They can be anything like cardio, yoga, swimming, weight lifting, running. We should definitely make these activities as integral part our lives but under a proper guidance.
If you want to try yoga, then I suggest you to start with some basic poses and then Surya Namaskaras. Those are my all time favorite. But please don’t do them without any supervision of an experienced person when you’re trying it for the first time. Thank you all for reading this. À demain!
